The Joel Fund

Mission

The Joel Fund's mission is to reconnect veterans to life at home. We use the power of community to engage, educate, and encourage veterans and their families.

Vision

Our vision is a strong, supportive community where all veterans and their families thrive.

Goals

1.TJF will develop new programs and service models that respond to changing needs among veterans and families, including basic needs, housing stability, social isolation, and trusted resource connection. This includes Operation VESSEL (Veteran Empowerment and Support Services for Essential Living) and services at The Joel Center, shaped by feedback, surveys, and evaluation.
2.TJF will grow Operation ART, Operation Connect, and Operation VESSEL so more veterans and families can find connection, stability, and support. Growth includes Deploy Operation ART, RECON, casework, stabilization support, and virtual programs that extend TJF’s reach beyond the Greater Triangle while preserving trusted, relationship-based service.
3.TJF will invest in the staff, systems, facilities, and evaluation capacity needed to support responsible growth. This includes strengthening program management, casework, outreach, development, communications, Casebook tracking, Local Insight Studio evaluation support, and The Joel Center as a permanent home for veteran and family services.
