Haven Zoo Inc.

Mission

The mission of The Haven Zoo is to establish a permanent, loving home for displaced exotic and domestic animals where they will be provided with a diverse diet, an educational habitat, and daily enrichment activities. The zoo focuses on rescuing animals categorized as threatened, endangered, or critically endangered by the International Union for Conservation of Nature Red List, animals rescued from unfit homes, Georgia Department of Natural Resources, US Fish and Wildlife, and animals previously used in laboratory research.

Vision

A world where animals may thrive in their native habitat and have loving homes where domesticated.

Goals

1.To inspire and educate the public about exotic animals and the conservation issues their species face worldwide. We hope this protects their habitats and ensures greater animal protections.
2.As a a home for over 70 displaced exotic and domestic animals, the zoo offers visitors and volunteers a hands-on, educational, close encounter experience with a variety of animals.
