Integrated Behavioral Technologies Inc.
Mission
Autism is one of the most devastating disorders of early childhood, typically causing life long impairment in every aspect of a young person's development. Over 40 years of scientific research has resulted in a treatment and education technology that radically changes outcomes for the better. These applied behavioral analytic techniques are not yet available to most children with autism. IBT promotes these state-of-the-art services and will provide them to Kansas children and their families.
Vision
We foresee the day when a diagnosis of autism, like the diagnosis of many cancers, can happen with reasonable dispatch, eliminating months of indeterminate anguish for parents. We foresee the day when the professional community in Kansas has the training and information needed to make quick and appropriate referrals to a best practical treatment plan that can save that child’s life. We foresee the day when 50 years of scientific research in Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) is used in the treatment for children diagnosed with autism. A day when psychologists and teachers with expertise in ABA work cooperatively with families to maximize their children's independence through individualized treatment plans. We foresee the day when children with autism reach their potential and lead productive/fulfilling lives. When families won't have to search in desperation for appropriate treatment and education for their children because they will have access to the treatment they need.
Goals
- 1.Access to care is the most important aspect of what IBT hopes to accomplish. Increasing the number of individuals available to provide services to underserved communities, opening new clinics, and expanding to provide services to more communities are at the forefront of our mission.
- 2.Currently, one of the major hurdles to providing services is the lack of resources available for training new providers and paying them a competitive wage. We seek to diversify revenue to overcome the poor reimbursement rates that are currently offered by insurance companies for ABA therapy, the only evidence based intervention for Autism Spectrum Disorder.
- 3.We seek to continue increasing public awareness of Autism Spectrum Disorder to improve access of services for individuals who may need it, to destigmatize the diagnosis, and to improve the outcomes for those receiving a diagnosis. It is our belief that by increasing public awareness, we open up opportunities and resources for those that we serve, thereby reducing barriers to their future success.
