The nonprofit has an opportunity to tell the story of how the organization adapted to tremendous external changes in the last year.
We have made significant changes to major programs; District Data Initiative, our membership model, and Forward the A.R.T.S. Fund, due to feedback from our community in this post-pandemic era. The arts and humanities sector will continue to experiences effects related to revenue, programming, and engagement. The Collaborative needed to shift these programs to better address our community's needs. DC Collaborative also gained a new Executive Director in January 2023, who brought a wealth of knowledge and experience that helped reimagine these initiatives.
District Data Initiative is our collective impact effort, that mobilizes the arts and humanities community through data collection, professional development, and shared learning. Our new membership model allows for a more diverse member community. Forward the A.R.T.S. Fund subsidizes field trip transportation now that the cost of school buses has increased from $350 before the pandemic to $650.
