Mission
THE AIRPORT MINORITY ADVISORY COUNCIL EDUCATIONAL & SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM, INC. ("AMAC FOUNDATION") IS A NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION FOUNDED IN 1997 FOR THE FOLLOWING PURPOSES: (1) TO PROVIDE SCHOLARSHIPS FOR STUDENTS TO ATTEND COLLEGES AND UNIVERSITIES OR OTHER EQUIVALENT LEVEL EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS IN THE FIELD OF AVIATION AND AIRPORT MANAGEMENT BY MAKING GRANTS, DISTRIBUTIONS AND PROVIDING OTHER FORMS OF ASSISTANCE TO INDIVIDUALS AND OTHER NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS IN SUPPORT OF SUCH PURPOSE. (2) TO PREPARE, PROMOTE, PUBLISH AND DISTRIBUTE EDUCATIONAL MATERIALS; CONDUCT EDUCATIONAL FORUMS AND SEMINARS; CONDUCT EDUCATIONAL RESEARCH AND ESTABLISH AN EDUCATIONAL DATA BANK FOR INTERESTED MEMBERS OF THE GENERAL PUBLIC ON AIR TRANSPORTATION, AIRPORTS AND AIRPORT FACILITIES MANAGEMENT. (3) TO ENGAGE IN ANY AND ALL OTHER LAWFUL CHARITABLE ACTIVITIES INCIDENTAL TO, AND IN PURSUIT OF, THE FOREGOING PURPOSES.
Vision
To create a sustainable pipeline into the aviation industry by annually serving at least students through hands on aviation programming, pairing participants with industry mentors, and awarding funded scholarships that remove financial barriers to flight training, technical certification, and aviation-related degrees.
Goals
- 1.To inspire and prepare the next generation of aviation professionals and entrepreneurs by exposing youth to careers in flight, engineering, airport operations, back-office administration, and aviation business concessions while removing financial barriers through funded scholarships and structured programming.
- 2.To establish structured career and entrepreneurship pipelines within the aviation industry by creating partnerships with airports, airlines, aviation service providers, and concession operators, providing youth with internships, apprenticeships, certification support, and access to aviation-related business ownership opportunities.
- 3.AMAC Foundation will invest in workforce leadership, formal industry partnerships, and structured internship and apprenticeship programs. Funding will support certifications, stipends, and career readiness training. We will also track outcomes to ensure job placement, advancement, and long-term sustainability through strong corporate and airport relationships.
