Mission

The Dolphin Scholarship Foundation (DSF) believes that enhancement of both human potential and quality of life is achievable through education. Many sons, daughters, and spouses of U.S. Navy submariners face financial obstacles while pursuing undergraduate and vocational education. DSF is committed to minimizing those obstacles by assisting them in reaching their fullest potential.

Goals

1.Increase current scholarship award levels by 14 to 24 percent for students attending 4 and 2-year universities and trade schools. Also, to increase the number of scholarships funded by 24 percent.
2.Add the positions of Development Associate and Major Gift Assistant to the DSF staff to enhance donor cultivation and increase fundraising effectiveness.
3.Develop a more comprehensive Planned Giving program to educate our benefactors on the benefits of charitable giving in the estate planning process.
