Vision

Our vision is to have a community where the fine arts are welcomed, appreciated and encouraged.

Goals

1. 1.We have a goal to hire our first executive director, and increase our funding. Our current funding is primarily from paid memberships, commissions arts sales, and individual sponsorships. We have been accumulating a surplus to hire an executive director and expect to have $50,000 by year-end 2025. We hope to acquire grants to make up the remainder of what is needed.
2. 2.We have 2 major annual events we want to expand: 1. Wake Teen Art Exhibition. This project has participation from hundreds of local students. We have has hosted it every May for 15 years. Our Wake County, NC Teen Exhibition awards $10,000 to students and teachers. 2. Annual Juried Exhibition. Our AJE is July 2-Sept 4, 2025 in Cary, NC. This is the the 31st year for our AJE.
3. 3.We are planning a major new project for 2025: Art Swarm. This is a 5-day public celebration of the arts in Cary, NC. Art Swarm will bring many of the region’s top artists to indoor and outdoor venues in the Cary Arts District. The public is being invited to observe and interact with the artists, and to make their own art. Our first Art Swarm is in September 2025.
