Vision

The Original Gullah Festival wants to help keep Gullah Geechee culture strong and alive for future generations. We want children, families, and visitors to learn about Gullah history, food, music, art, language, and traditions while bringing communities together from Jacksonville, North Carolina, to Jacksonville, Florida. Our goal is to celebrate the strength and creativity of the Gullah people, protect important cultural traditions, and create fun learning experiences that help the community grow and shine for many years to come.
