Mission

To improve water quality and to protect and restore the fish and wildlife resources of the Indian River Lagoon, coastal waters, inshore reefs, and the watershed by advocating and using sound science, education, and the involvement of the public at large.

Vision

By 2050, the Indian River Lagoon, the environmental and economic lifeblood of the globally important east central Florida region, will be restored to sustainable balance, providing an example to the world of what's possible when people collaborate.

Goals

1.Increase knowledge of Indian River Lagoon ecological health issues and actions to protect it.
2.Increase community engagement and involvement in actions to protect and restore the Indian River Lagoon coastal estuary.
3.Expand citizen science to collect important scientific information that contributes to the assessment of lagoon health and informs leadership of changes in ecosystem dynamics.
