Nashville Jazz Workshop

Mission

The mission of the Nashville Jazz Workshop is to enrich people's lives and build community through world class jazz education and performances.

Vision

Nashville Jazz Workshop aims to be Nashville's "go-to" jazz education and performance institution; to nourish Nashville's jazz scene by serving as an epicenter for jazz; and to bridge social divides and strengthen Nashville by bringing people together to celebrate the uniquely American cultural expression that is jazz.

Goals

1.Nashville Jazz Workshop will invest in fundraising capacity to reach its $445,500 FY27 contributed revenue goal. We will raise donor retention from 38.5% to 45% through structured stewardship and major-donor win-back efforts, and implement a new CRM with modern online donor forms by October 1, 2026 to strengthen donor data and communications.
2.Nashville Jazz Workshop will pilot "The 50% Initiative" in 2026-27 to build a more inclusive Jazz Cave audience. Through a $21,000 Community Access Fund reserving 600 seats/year for 7 community, school, and senior-center partners, plus $4,000 in targeted marketing to Nashville's communities of color, we aim to grow both comped and paying audiences of color.
