Adaptability Statement
30 out of 30 points
The nonprofit has an opportunity to tell the story of how the organization adapted to tremendous external changes in the last year.
The school district had made changes to the core curriculum for the 2022-23 school year. For the first time, the core curriculum is completely digital. They had also changed their method of tracking students progress to the B.E.S.T. (Benchmarks for Excellent Student Thinking) standards. This means, rather than having the intense standardized testing, students performance will be measured based on their progress throughout the year. These substantial changes have effected the grant requests we funded for the 2022-23 school year. Where we had begun funding more digital programs due to COVID-19 and quarantine, we started to move away from digital programs this year since students are already spending such a large amount of time online for their core curriculum.
