The future of Los Angeles is sitting in LAUSD classrooms today. Let’s build the educational opportunities that they need and deserve.

Goals

1. 1.LAEF plans to bring the innovation of philanthropy to the strong history of LAUSD. We aim to both expand and concentrate our work in order to increase access for LAUSD students, staff, and families and create opportunities for success. We are focusing our efforts on three main funds: The Opportunity Fund, The Compassion Fund, and three Signature Funds.
2. 2.The Opportunity Fund: Increase concentrated support to Priority Schools where need and success can meet. The Compassion Fund: Provide fast, flexible support to students facing homelessness, foster care, and sudden hardship, and removing barriers that keep students from engaging in school Three Signature Funds: Arts & Music for Every Student, Literacy for All, Innovation Fund
3. 3.We have expanded our team and are implementing practices to ensure accountability, transparency, and excellent service to the district and our funders.
