Vision

A state where all families can receive financial help with out-of-pocket expenses when their children are receiving life-saving heart surgeries. In addition, a state where all student-athletes can receive a heart screen in addition to their athletic physical before playing sports.

Goals

1. 1.We would like to help more families with children born with heart defects or disease. When more pediatric cardiologists and hospitals learn about our program, more applications will be received, and more grants will be awarded to these families.
2. 2.We would like to implement a program where we deliver "comfort care baskets" to the families whose children are in the hospital for weeks and sometimes months at a time.
3. 3.Our goal is to increase the amount of grants we award to heart families each year. In 2025, we will award approximately $60,000 to families to help with out-of-pocket expenses when their children are in the hospital. These expenses include travel, meals, lodging, and compounded prescription costs. In 2024, we awarded approximately $50,000.
