The mission of the ORGANIZATION is to protect the public's health by advancing the elimination of tuberculosis in the U.S. through the concerted action of state, local, and territorial programs.NTCA WAS CREATED IN 1995 TO BRING TOGETHER THE LEADERS OF TUBERCULOSIS CONTROL PROGRAMS IN ALL STATES, BIG CITIES, AND TERRITORIES FUNDED BY THE CDC'S DIVISION OF TB ELIMINATION (DTBE),AS WELL AS MANY COUNTIES AND CITY HEALTH DEPARTMENTS THAT ORGANIZE THEIR OWN TB CONTROL ACTIVITIES.
