artlab21 Foundation / ESMoA
Mission
ESMoA is an innovative art laboratory located in Lawndale, California, that challenges traditional museum concepts. Known for its interactive and dynamic exhibits, ESMoA offers immersive art experiences that engage community members of all ages. With a focus on education and community involvement, ESMoA collaborates with artists, educators, and local organizations to foster creativity and a deeper appreciation for the arts through exhibitions, workshops, and public programs.
Vision
Our founders and team believe that many people, including our visitors, local partners, and featured artists, should contribute to the interpretation and creation of art. We seek to have all participants in the creation and viewing of art learn more about themselves. Life is too short to not know and use all of your senses. ESMoA believes that art is a state of mind that can open all your senses. And artworks help you to reflect on things that are and will be.
Goals
- 1.To grow, expand, and increase access to our programs, ESMoA will enhance outreach through ESMoA EXTENSION, bringing art and educational activities to diverse spaces across Los Angeles County. By expanding partnerships and our digital presence, we aim to make art more accessible and inclusive, reaching a wider audience and fostering greater community engagement.
- 2.To invest in the capacity of our organization, ESMoA plans to enhance financial resources through grants and donations, improve management practices, and upgrade technical infrastructure. This will support our mission to deliver high-quality art experiences and educational programs, ensuring sustainable growth and increased impact in our community.
- 3.In response to observed changes in community needs, ESMoA is developing new programs that focus on virtual art experiences and mental health through creative expression. These initiatives will provide accessible, therapeutic art activities, addressing the growing demand for mental wellness resources and expanding our reach to those unable to attend in person.
