Vision

Through no fault of their own, children are facing circumstances they should never have to face such as domestic violence and homelessness. Because of this, those children are less likely to graduate high school, more likely to have mental health challenges, and susceptible to repeating the cycle. At For the Need, their success is our success. We strive to provide a foundation based on our core pillars to not only inspire children and give them much needed hope, but also to be with them as they overcome their difficult challenges as mentors and as friends. For the Need is on track to transform twice as many young lives next year and therefore, twice as many families who are in need. We aim to introduce the children to opportunities they may have otherwise never known, leading them to become self-sufficient, confident, and hopeful.

Goals

1. 1.We aim to become a multi-city and multi-state organization while remaining 99% volunteer run. Because of this, we have heavily invested into developing our unique and multi-faceted Bow & Arrow Mentorship Program with a robust Awards Program, a thorough set of planning documents, procedures, key pillars of focus, age-level specific activities, and more. This goal informs everything that we do.
2. 2.FTN along with founders Myan and Viviana Spaccarelli and corporate sponsors WM and UWS have been offering additional programming to teens in the Bow & Arrow Mentorship Program such as job placement assistance, work experience, transportation and car insurance sponsorship, and more one on one mentorship. We aim to formalize this "program" and expand its reach to more teens.
3. 3.We aim to double our capacity to serve kids and their families by 2025. This includes doubling the number of events we hold and adding on smaller, more intimate events. This also includes a significant amount of outreach to transitional housing units, shelters, and more for children in need and to schools, churches, other nonprofits, corporations, and more for volunteers and funding.
