Utah Valley Refugees

Mission

Utah Valley Refugees mission is to assist refugees in their quest to become self-reliant. We provide essential services and resources, support, and advocacy to help client rebuild their lives and integrate successfully. Utah Valley Refugees strive to empower and uplift refugees in our community.

Vision

The vision of Utah Valley Refugees is to create a welcoming and supportive community where refugees can thrive, not just survive. UVR envisions a Utah Valley where refugees are empowered to become self-reliant, integrated, and active members of society, contributing to the social, cultural, and economic fabric of their new home.

Goals

1.Expand and scale existing programs to increase access for refugee families in Utah Valley. This includes enhancing service delivery, reaching underserved populations, and strengthening infrastructure to meet growing needs in housing, education, employment, and health support.
2.Strengthen organizational capacity by investing in financial sustainability, leadership development, technical infrastructure, and operational efficiency. This includes improving systems, staff training, and resource management to ensure long-term impact and effective service delivery.
3.Strengthen impact by focusing on core programs that align with UVR’s mission. This includes prioritizing services that directly support refugee self-reliance and integration, while scaling back or phasing out programs that are not central to our strategic objectives or long-term sustainability.
