Vision

The Neurodiversity Education Research Center works toward our vision and belief that neurodivergent individuals can become successful in an ableist society. Through our education programs, research areas, partnerships, community engagement, and events, we advocate models that support opportunities for academic, physical, and social-emotional growth. We strive to engage educators, employers, researchers, parents, mental health professionals, and others in creating an optimal environment for neurodivergent individuals to be successful by emphasizing strength-based practices.

Goals

1. 1.Deliver effective, supportive middle school education and career preparation to neurodiverse students with autism
2. 2.Deploy a research-informed, evidence-based approach to academic instruction and workforce development for neurodiverse students
3. 3.Build the capacity of NERC to support effective education and career development of neurodiverse students and employers
