Mission

Mindbridge is the nation’s leading non-profit using brain and behavioral science to empower human rights defenders. We conduct programming, support partnerships, and direct research at the intersection of psychological science and human rights. Through these efforts, Mindbridge is growing a science-driven community that gives human rights defenders access to the hearts and minds of those they serve.

Vision

Today, we need human rights more than ever. Together, we bridge science and human rights to create more just and equitable societies. Today, you become part of that bridge.

Goals

1.With our Institute and Research Programs, whether you’re part of a public agency, grassroots coalition, or independent practice, we work alongside you to build more inclusive, resilient systems, grounded in science, shaped by context, and driven by human connection.
2.Our Administrative department is structured to function without silos; dedicating our overhead bandwidth to at least a 30% time and duty commitment of direct program support for each Administrative staff member. This informs our ability create a functional organization to support our staff and their directives.
3.The Healing Racial Trauma Initiative (HRTI) is a program rooted in community, research, and racial justice. While it began in Maine, developed for and by People of Color with funding from the Maine Health Access Foundation, HRTI addresses conditions and healing strategies that are relevant across regions and adaptable to broader contexts.
