Vision

he Virginia Beach Art Center (VB-AC) is a cornerstone for visual arts and expression and is recognized as a leader for the arts in the city, the region, and the Commonwealth. The Center brings vitality to the area and supports the community’s cultural identity through the arts. The Virginia Beach Art Center provides leadership in the arts by encouraging artistic expression, creating opportunities for community engagement with artists and artistic ideas, and facilitating collaboration among citizens and visitors.

Goals

1. 1.The Art Center offers well-designed and inspirational creative classes in a variety of media and techniques, including effective instructional design and high quality instructors.
2. 2.The Art Center connects and collaborates with other organizations and entities in the community, including other art and non-art organizations, both as outreach and by bringing those entities to the Art Center.
3. 3.The Art Center has a strong development program that maintains diverse income streams and reliable financial support, including strong story-telling and communication of the mission and success.
