Vision

SHEW's vision is to create an all-inclusive organization where horses can find new beginnings and where horse owners have an excellent resource to call upon. We strive to set up the next generation of veterinarians, horse men/women trainers and equine welfare advocates so our community will have a sustainable support structure for all future generations.

Goals

1. 1.Currently we are limited by the size of our current location in the # of horses we are able accept and the programs we can undertake. Our goal is to expand upon the current rescue work we are accomplishing and in order to do that we need to move to a larger facility to accommodate more equines and our program growth needs.
2. 2.We are currently in the process of an information technology and infrastructure implementation to innovate our IT solutions to support organizational development, fundraising, and marketing. These tools will support financial management processes and business operational management. Leveraging a new IT application will allow us to better engage/track our constituents and community outreach.
3. 3.Continue to be a safety net/resource for horses and horse owners in crisis and broadening our education programs to support future horses owners/adopters to decrease numbers of horses who end up in life threatening situations. Provide internships supporting future veterinarians/equine professionals. Expand experiential programs supporting emotional well being of humans through equine partnership.
