Mission

Sing Sing Prison Museum is the extraordinary location where the complex and compelling stories of incarceration are shared on the grounds of one of Americas most historic active prisons. A site of self-reflection and learning, the Museum challenges all of us to imagine a more equitable criminal justice system and to take action toward building a more just society.

1.To open the physical Sing Sing Prison Museum in downtown Ossining and provide access to the historic 1825 Cellblock that is still extant within the walls of the maximum security Sing Sing Prison.
2.Be a platform for other organizations working in the space.
3.Provide access to quality programming exploring the history and current experience of those touched by carceral systems.
