Jookender supports, strengthens, and sustains Russian speaking Jewish communities in Greater Boston, New England, and the world. Jookender Mission is: To support 1st generation refugee community of Russian and Ukrainian-speaking families with children under 18 y.o. To fight Antisemitism To improve mental state of teenagers and teen-parent relationships To keep and nurture cultural Jewish identity without a religious aspect of it To promote equality and justice To help Women and Girls to realize their potential and regain confidence in their abilities To support the mental health of the community To enrich education perspectives for the 1st generation refugee families To build a strong, vibrant, and giving-back community In a welcoming, non-judgmental environment, Jookender offers family-friendly programs and activities that help Russian speaking Jewish individuals and families find their place in the Boston Jewish community and beyond. A 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, Jookender's programs and activities are led by professionally trained, knowledgeable, and multi-lingual staff who know, teach, and demonstrate Jewish values.
