First Start Foundation aims to bring the powerful positive impact of sports into low income communities. Our goal is to provide sports coaching and mentorship to kids who may not be able to afford or have little access to play organized sports or lack adequate facilities. We aim to achieve these goals by providing kids of ages 5-14 years old the opportunity to participate in camps and programs uniquely created for various sports, designed and taught by former and current college athletes. These programs will be available to the public free of cost with FSF athletic gear provided to the kids in order to promote team unity and support. Our mission is to give all kids a chance to play, a chance to learn, and a chance to be great. We believe that sports can positively impact children and can be a determining factor to a child’s future. We aim to help and serve our mentees by providing them with the necessary support in order to prevent them from becoming just another statistic. Meanwhile we want to help create opportunities for success in the classroom as well as on the field. Statement

First Start Foundation cannot be rated because Charity Navigator has not received the public data required to create a star rating.
To receive a star rating, a charity must be a U.S.-based 501(c)(3) public charity. Private foundations, consolidated subsidiaries, and organizations with revoked or inactive IRS status are not eligible for a rating.
Eligible charities must also meet the following criteria:
