Standardbred Transition Alliance

Mission

To provide accreditation, inspection and award grants to approved organizations that acquire, rehabilitate, re-train, re-home, follow-up and care for Standardbred horses, using industry-wide funding.

Vision

To increase efficiency, capacity and professionalism of organizations serving Standardbreds, while providing a secure collection point for Standardbred charitable contributions and to issue program funding, in the form of managed grant awards, to accredited organizations.

Goals

1.To expand the STA Placement Liaison Program to act as a conduit between retiring racehorses and an open stall at an STA Accredited Aftercare Facility.
2.To further develop the STA donor base to support the grant awards to STA Accredited Aftercare Organizations
3.To expand and strengthen the network of STA Accredited Aftercare Organizations and Facilities.
