Save Oswit Canyon Inc. dba Oswit Land Trust

Mission

Save Oswit Canyon, Inc’s original mission was to save a single canyon in Palm Springs, CA. Now that that mission has been completed (2019) we’ve expanded our scope to become a local land trust (DBA: Oswit Land Trust). Our new mission is to prevent development of environmentally sensitive open market parcels in and around Palm Springs, the Coachella Valley and adjacent areas.

Vision

Saving Wildlife One Acre at a Time!

Goals

1.The Coachella Valley region is under immense pressure from warehouse developers. Once we lose the land, it’s gone forever. Our mission is to intensify our advocacy efforts, educate our community about the significance of open spaces, wildlife, and the urgent need to address environmental challenges.
2.Our success is a testament to the collective efforts of our dedicated staff and volunteers who work tirelessly to tackle our daily tasks. We are committed to continuous improvement and expansion in all aspects of our organization, including financial stability, technological advancements, and effective management practices.
3.We actively listen to our community’s feedback and make necessary adjustments to our programs to meet their evolving needs. We have successfully launched the second season of our Sustainable & Wild Program, which offers free educational events and community talks. In the near future, we are also working on exciting programs such as the Saving Nature Film Festival.
