At OSIC, we are passionately committed to making radical progress for people living with interstitial lung diseases (ILDs), their families, and caregivers. We unite global competitors and computational scientists in unprecedented, pre-competitive collaboration to accelerate the development of digital imaging biomarkers — enabling earlier, more accurate diagnosis, improved prognostic insight, and better prediction of treatment response. Together, we foster innovation that serves one shared goal: transforming outcomes for patients.

We envision a future where global collaboration, real-world data, and machine learning unlock a new era of precision diagnosis and treatment for ILDs — transforming lives and redefining what’s possible for patients and caregivers worldwide.

Goals

1.Launch a collaborative training initiative to help radiologists and data scientists in under-resourced regions access AI-ready imaging tools and datasets for ILDs, ensuring global inclusivity in research and diagnostic innovation.
2.Expand access to OSIC’s curated imaging database while focusing development on high-impact ILD biomarkers. Deprioritize peripheral projects to accelerate progress on diagnostic and prognostic precision tools.
3.Invest in upgrading OSIC’s infrastructure to support large-scale machine learning research, including technical staffing, secure data systems, and expanded governance to meet the demands of global research partners.
