Vision

The community deserves a skate park that will decrease injuries, increase the fun, and is good for people of all skill levels! A quality, up to date skate park will also ensure that it will be better respected and maintained, and safe for all users. Skate parks are a positive outlet to instill strong values like work versus reward, determination, the importance of community, having fun, and can give many a sense of being and a healthy outlet to blow off steam which we all need. Skate parks in any community can be a gathering place and even a second home for families and people of all ages who love skateboarding and other action sports. Quality skate parks in communities serve as a place for skateboarding classes, events, community fundraisers, and a place to find a strong sense of community and friendship.

Goals

1. 1.Building, maintaining, and improving the Anacortes Skate Park in cooperation with the City of Anacortes with the goal of lessening the burden on the City of Anacortes government through the support of Parks and Recreation.
2. 2.Supporting events, workshops, and classes at the Anacortes Skate Park in cooperation with the City of Anacortes Parks and Recreation Department in order to increase public satisfaction, reduce the burden on city government, reduce delinquency, and build community.
