The nonprofit has an opportunity to tell the story of how the organization adapted to tremendous external changes in the last year.
Over the last year, amidst a global backdrop of great devastation, tragedy, and racial justice and public health reckonings, Conservation Colorado Education Fund and our community showed our resilience, and acted on what mattered. And in the changes we were able to accomplish together, it paid off across the board. In the face of a pandemic that challenged our very ability to be together, we realized that we can and must come together as never before for our climate future, racial justice and democracy.
Despite needing to pivot to remote and virtual work for most of the past year, we never wavered in the fight for our communities that were hit hardest by COVID-19, pollution, and the climate crisis. We recognized the importance of strong leadership and recommitted ourselves to holding decision-makers accountable for valuing science, public health, the environment, and justice. And we put forth a new vision for conserving Colorado’s public lands, parks, and open space that are one of our most beloved and valuable resources, and a key tool in ensuring our state’s climate resilience.
We are in awe and so grateful for our community who came together to fight for our future this year. Together we built an incredible movement for climate action, achieved leading environmental justice policies, and won victories for lands and water.
Our supporters, partners, and community members make us a force to be reckoned with. And we’ll need every ounce of that power as we come together to fight harder than ever before. The crises we face may be unparalleled, but our strength together is unparalleled as well.
