Preserving and advocating for the Office of Sheriff by providing educational and professional development for peace officers, develop and promote public safety initiatives and programs, improve awareness of public safety issues, and support peace officers in times of need and stress.

Goals

1.Alongside our core training and professional development classes we will develop new curriculum and delivery options for training across the state. Taking advantage of the latest technologies, we will be able to reach a larger audience with the education needed for law enforcement and community safety.
2.Create and distribute fact sheets, social media campaigns, magazines, op-eds and other materials with the goal of raising awareness of the statutory responsibilities of the sheriff and how those affect all citizens of Colorado. Emphasizing that the roles that keep communities safe.
3.Diversify funding streams and capacity for growth with the goal of increasing opportunities to assist Sheriffs and their staff through community programs such as youth athletics, educational opportunities, behavioral health assistance, and more as needs arise and change.
