Mission

1 Degree of Separation's activities revolve around a touring comedy show which holds the purpose of educating and supporting our communities onthe topic of depression and suicide. At a 1 Degree show, our highly trained comedians talk about depression in an entertaining and enlightening way, asthey share stories of hope, happiness, and triumph. Each of our comedians have personally experienced the pain of depression, suicidal thoughts, orother debilitating mental imbalances. This show is open, honest, and engages conversation about depression. We aim to end the stigma of mentalillness and our mission is to bring dialogue, awareness, and acceptance to depression through laughter and vulnerability. After the show we willdistribute resources that help individuals overcome and prosper through their struggles. Our audience ranges from students, corporate workers,veterans, and more. These resources include hotlines, pamphlets, and references to therapists. We also have mental health professio
