Mission

The mission of Lion’s Pride Mentoring is simple: to empower youth leaders to guide ninth grade students to reach their fullest potential. We train eleventh and twelfth grade students to mentor first-year students in achieving excellence in our three interconnected pillars: leadership development, career development, and mental well-being.

Vision

Lion’s Pride Mentoring seeks to change Chicago’s educational landscape by helping more students graduate from highschool and cultivate economic sustainability.

Goals

1.Develop a new program model that responds to community needs to ensure relevance and effectiveness.
2.Strengthen staff capacity through training in youth development and community engagement best practices to enhance capacity and foster a resilient organization.
3.Diversifying funding sources to improve financial stability, mitigating risks from economic fluctuations and ensuring growth and sustainability.
