Vision

Chicago Community Sculling brings equity to rowing and supports programs that are accessible to all, especially Chicago youth. We operate indoor programming year-round and on-water programming during the warmer months. In addition, we offer several opportunities for further development, such as mentoring. rowing camps, college visits, travel, regattas, and other enrichment activities throughout the year. Research shows that rowing/sculling is good for kids as it: 💪🏽Increasing Physical Health 🧠Increases Mental Health and Reduces Stress 🎇Increases Creativity 😊Increases Focus and Productivity ❤️Increases Confidence and Self-Esteem 🧭Increases Sense of Belonging, Community, and Connectedness Rowing has historically not been a diverse sport due to multiple barriers including costs, access, transportation, and culture.

Goals

1. 1.Increasing the number of schools and students in our program
2. 2.Hiring a larger team, investing in more support tools and equipment
3. 3.Increase number of middle school rowers, then high school rowers for continuity and access to collegiate opportunities
