Off The Grid Greenville

Mission

Off The Grid Greenville is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that supports underrepresented small businesses in the Upstate of South Carolina. Our mission is to use independent media to educate the community by highlighting the best local small businesses and showing how food connects us.

Vision

We seek to inspire our local community to action and influence, compelling our audience to support lesser-known independent restaurants, providers, and organizations until they are no longer considered underrepresented.

Goals

1.Hire new staff, including writers, a social media manager, a CFO, and a salesperson. A dedicated, robust team is better equipped to manage operations and scale effectively. It also improves the division of labor, leading to more efficient operations and enhanced content quality. Hiring a salesperson ensures sales strategies are handled, boosting the organization’s financial health and growth.
2.Using both Mr. Earle's SC Certified Urban Garden and the Dedication Garden as spaces to teach about food, nutrition, and community, and recruiting more volunteers.
3.Prior Social Media Lounge was a huge success. We aim to organize a larger, yet still casual, event with the assistance of the local SBDC.
