Central Furniture Rescue

Mission

CENTRAL FURNITURE RESCUE EXISTS FOR THE PURPOSE OF COLLECTING USED FURNITURE AND OTHER HOUSEHOLD ITEMS AND PROVIDING THEM TO INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES TRANSITIONING FROM HOMELESS SHELTERS INTO THEIR OWN HOMES.

Vision

We aspire to build a future where usable furniture never ends up in a landfill, and every piece we rescue becomes part of a transformed home—bringing dignity, comfort, and hope to people rebuilding their lives.

Goals

1.Our goals are to strengthen our core furniture program, increase efficiency in delivery and volunteer coordination, ensure financial stability, deepen mission-aligned partnerships, and build strong organizational systems. We will scale back programs that do not directly support our mission so resources stay focused where they have the greatest impact.
2.Invest in the capacity of our organization by strengthening systems, improving processes, supporting staff and volunteers, and ensuring we have the tools needed to deliver our mission effectively.
3.Grow strategically by expanding and scaling our existing programs and services, increasing access for households in need while staying focused on mission-critical work.
