Opendoor

Mission

Opendoor (also known as OpenDoorWomen's Recovery Alliance)provides one year of free wrap around services to vulnerable women who are in recovery from substance use disorder, leaving incarceration, trafficking and unfathomable trauma. When women leave treatment or prison they are forced to make a decision about their lives. Returning to the life they left sets them up for relapse, arrest, and worse, death. OpenDoor community volunteers befriend these women to help them to redirect the life they left. Teams of 4-6 volunteers commit to spending one hour a week with each woman for one year. This transforms lives.

Vision

A community where women healing from addiction, trauma, and incarceration are fully supported through relationships that restore dignity, stability, and hope.

Goals

1.OpenDoor aims to grow, expand, and scale its Transformational Support and Reintegration Program to reach more women rebuilding their lives after addiction, trauma, trafficking, or incarceration. By training additional volunteers and strengthening community partnerships, we will extend our yearlong wraparound support model to twice as many participants allowing us to transform hundreds of lives.
2.OpenDoor is investing in the capacity of its Transformational Support and Reintegration Program by strengthening staff, volunteer training, and data systems. These investments ensure quality, consistency, and sustainability as we expand our wraparound model to serve more women with the relational and practical support needed for lasting transformation.
3.OpenDoor is developing Virtual Tables to connect trained volunteers with women who face transportation, childcare, or distance barriers. These online groups will provide the same yearlong relational and practical support as in-person Tables, expanding access to women in rural areas and creating new pathways to stability, community, and hope.
