Vision

A city where everyone has a furnished home

Goals

1. 1.Flourish will scale its services to provide furniture for every family overcoming housing insecurity in Kansas City. We know the demand is greater than our current capacity of 1,300 homes per year. To expand our services, we are working strategically to grow furniture donation streams, recruit our base of volunteers, build new funding sources, and establish new agency partnerships.
2. 2.Flourish is piloting a delivery service to deliver furniture for families who are unable to secure a moving truck on their own. This need was identified through extensive interviews with partner agencies and families served. To expand our delivery service, we are building out a program staff role, training volunteers, growing our funding stream to support the project, and educating our partners.
3. 3.As the only furniture bank in Kansas City, it is critical that our organization is sustainable long-term. We are implementing a research project to measure need assessment and the long-term impact of our services. We are also building revenue streams to support added program staff members, facilities, transportation, and supplies. Volunteer recruitment is a key part of our sustainability strategy.
