We are a diverse, family-like community that supports, inspires, and empowers the youth and young adults we serve.

Goals

1. 1.WAYS for Life has rapidly grown from serving 40 youth members (with one part-time employee and a few volunteers) to serving 401 youth and their 186 dependent children in year four (with nine staff and more than 100 volunteers). While the member base and services have grown rapidly, the agency is working to grow its donor base to keep pace with the agency program needs.
2. 2.With over 50% of the youth members served experiencing homelessness, transitional housing for our members has moved to the forefront of WAYS services. WAYS opened its first transitional house for youth experiencing homelessness in October of 2024 and expects to open a second home in 2025. It is difficult for youth experiencing homelessness to become stable without a safe, affordable place to live.
3. 3.98% of WAYS members are victims of crime and many experience ongoing suffering from their trauma. WAYS is expanding our on-site mental health therapy program to include Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) - two therapeutic approaches that have gained popularity in recent years for individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, and trauma.
