Improve the quality of life for low and moderate income individuals and families through neighborhood improvements achieved by elimination of blight, renovation and preservation of existing housing stock and providing safe, sanitary and affordable housing. Purchased a dilapidated home in a historic district in Memphis, TN. Repaired structural defects and code violations that made the home unfit for habitation. Added new fire exit from the second floor. Brought Electric, Plumbing, and HVAC to code. Added a full bath upstairs. Replaced all finished surfaces. Installed new: Roof, appliances, cabinets, floors, fireplace, interior and exterior doors, electric panel and service, sewer and water lines, Repainted entire structure inside and out. Obtained building permit for all work as well as authorization from Landmarks Commissionto modify exterior as required to comply with current regulations relative to egress requirements for bedrooms on 2nd floor. Removed trash and debris from property.
