B Inspired Philadelphia Inc.
Mission
B INSPIRED PHILADELPHIA EMPOWERS PHILADELPHIA'S MOST UNDER-RESOURCED MIDDLE SCHOOL STUDENTS TO BECOME CHAMPIONS OF THEIR OWN WELL-BEING. THROUGH PARTNERSHIPS WITH MANY OF PHILADELPHIA'S CULTURAL, HEALTH AND CREATIVE INSTITUTIONS, COMPLEMENTED BY OUR OWN WELLNESS PROGRAM, WE PROVIDE STUDENTS WITH EXCITING AND INNOVATIVE OUT OF SCHOOL TIME PROGRAMS TO ENRICH THEIR EDUCATIONAL JOURNEY. RECOGNIZING THAT FOOD SCARCITY HAS A PROFOUND IMPACT ON OUR STUDENTS, WE PROVIDE A HEALTHY SNACK DURING OUR OST.
Vision
We envision a future in which the students in the under-resourced schools we serve have access to similar programs and experiences as the students in the surrounding neighborhoods. We want to ensure that our students get to experience programs exposing them to the arts, culture, sports and SEL programs that will provide them with the knowledge and confidence to grow into strong, aware and compassionate citizens.
Goals
- 1.Our primary goal is to continue to provide excellent programs to our students. B Inspired Phila has been growing steadily since 2019, our emphasis remains on providing the highest quality of programs to all the students we serve. If we are able to serve more students while maintaining our high standards, then we work to procure the funding that allows us to do that.
- 2.We are continually interacting with the students, the teachers and the parents of our students, to determine that our programs are engaging and challenging our students, but also are fun. This is OST, and we believe that these programs should teach but also elicit happiness. If a program doesn’t meet these standards or the attendance levels aren’t maintained, then we are quick to pivot to correct it.
- 3.Our strategic goals include increasing our visibility in the community, so we can increase the number of grants and donations we receive, as well as plan fundraising events that align with our mission to empower our students with the skills and knowledge to become the best versions of themselves. These include healthy nutrition food drives twice a year, to send healthy food home with each family.
