Mission

The Lexington Writer’s Room exists to create an inclusive, collaborative, and supportive environment where active writers in the Lexington, KY, area produce more work and expand their readership and professional success. To build a sustainable career, writers need a productive workspace, accountability partners, collaborators, professional connections, and support. The Lexington Writer’s Room is a work and event space designed to support these needs.

Vision

Local writers feel supported and produce more work. The literary community in Lexington and beyond is vibrant and inclusive.

Goals

1.As a younger nonprofit, we're focusing on building a larger, more sustainable base of donors, grant partners, and literary community partners.
2.We're surveying our writer members to learn ways we can help them with their wiring goals. In 2024, we will to reach more underserved writers and provide a broader variety of support activities.
