    Adaptability Statement
    30 out of 30 points
The nonprofit has an opportunity to tell the story of how the organization adapted to tremendous external changes in the last year.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, all of the area soccer leagues were canceled. Additionally, the county restricted access to players and fields, so all in-person practices were canceled for an entire year. We adapted by implementing a completely 100% online training portal for our players and their families. This was done in two ways: 1. We had bi-weekly Zoom meeting sessions with children from individual age groups. In these sessions we had discussion ranging from mental health checks to brief activities. 2. We organized a Youtube channel where our coaches uploaded training sessions that players and families could watch and then do on their own in the comfort of their own backyard. These were incredibly well-attended and resulted in a 100% retention of all of our players and families. It was so popular, that we kept the Youtube videos online and have since added to them.
