    Sonoran Reptiles Inc.

    Mission

Our overall goal is to rescue, rehabilitate, relocate, and offer optimal quality of life for captive and injured reptiles and wildlife. Educating the public about wildlife as well as creating a community that will take a proactive approach on creating a better system that caters specifically to how we rehome, care for, and view reptiles similar to the process available in mass for mammals. We strongly believe in conservation through education. The first step to protect and rescue wildlife and neglected animals is through sharing knowledge, creating understanding, and providing insight throughout the community. Teaching our children about wildlife and its importance is the surest way to generate a positive impact for the future. At Sonoran Reptiles we put an emphasis on conserving and rescuing reptiles and amphibians. These animals are often overlooked, ignored, and even abused in the animal rescue world. The number of reptiles kept as house pets has doubled in the past few years, and 75% of reptiles kept as pets die in the first year due to neglect and poor care (with live animals left in dumpsters being a common occurrence). This is due to a myriad of reasons, one of which is their lack of mammal-like features that would otherwise make them easily relatable and therefore cute to the average person.
