Vision

We envision a future where every dog—regardless of breed, age, size, or medical needs—is valued, receives the care they deserve, and has the opportunity to live in a safe, loving home. We strive to create communities where adoption is inclusive, compassionate, and supported, and where adopters and foster families have the resources they need to build lasting, successful relationships with their pets. We also envision a future with fewer homeless and unwanted animals by promoting and providing spay and neuter services as a vital part of responsible animal welfare. Through lifesaving rescue, exceptional medical care, preventive care, community partnerships, and education, Border Tails Rescue is working toward a world where every dog has the chance to thrive and no healthy, adoptable dog is left without hope.

Goals

1. 1.Grow and expand Border Tails Rescue's programs by increasing access to our existing lifesaving services, enabling us to rescue more at-risk dogs, provide advanced medical care and spay/neuter services, strengthen foster and adoption support, and improve outcomes for dogs and the families who welcome them.
2. 2.Invest in Border Tails Rescue's organizational capacity by acquiring essential medical equipment, securing funding for a mobile veterinary van, upgrading technology and software systems, and enhancing operational infrastructure to expand access to lifesaving care, improve efficiency, and serve more dogs and the communities that depend on us.
3. 3.Advance animal welfare through advocacy, education, and community engagement by expanding low-cost vaccine and spay/neuter programs, helping families keep their pets, promoting adoption over purchasing, offering training and educational events, and increasing volunteer involvement through community outreach and open houses.
