Vision

We are dedicated to creating a more equitable playing field for marginalized entrepreneurs, and to helping our participants to navigate the challenges of building successful startups. We believe startup founders of all colors, gender identities, and abilities deserve a seat at the table but recognize that underserved and marginalized entrepreneurs often face multiple institutional and accessibility challenges in building startups, most notably in securing traditional startup financing.

Goals

1. 1.Our first key goal is to have one hundred individuals complete our Anvil Program, with a long-term goal to increase programming size to 500 participants per year.
2. 2.Our second goal is to disburse $50,000 in Vulcan Hammer Grants to between five and ten marginalized entrepreneurs by the end of 2024, to support their initial core operating expenses.
3. 3.Our third key goal is to broaden our program from California-centric participation, expanding to nationwide participation in both the Vulcan Anvil Program and Hammer Grant.
