Vision

A new kind of agriculture. Where chemical-free food grown without pesticides, herbicides and pushed fertilizers that are harmful do not ever see the Sweet Wheel Farm’s soil. To keep our most food fragile healthy region where every citizen can access locally grown, nutrient-rich food produced through regenerative farming methods that restore the earth and nourish people. Where seeds are saved and revered. We experiment with different practices in bi-cropping, water saving and moisture harvesting and roadways that are not cement.

Goals

1. 1.For 7 years, the Santa Barbara Agriculture and Farm Education Foundation has fought food insecurity through chemical-free farming. Since saving Sweet Wheel Farm in 2019, SBAFEF has donated over 1 million pounds of produce, serving 70,570+ residents yearly from Carpinteria to Goleta while supporting education, composting, and long-term community health
2. 2.Sweet Wheel Farms serves 83,200+ people annually across Santa Barbara County through produce distribution, home delivery, and community partnerships. Through the Healthy Farmed Food Project, the farm provides locally grown, chemical-free food while preserving farmland, strengthening local food systems, and expanding regenerative agriculture to improve long-term food security countywide.
