Despierta supports emotional well-being, healthy relationships, and digital wellness helping individuals navigate school, family life, and todays digital world with confidence. From middle school through motherhood, Despierta provides culturally responsive care and a strong sense of community where participants feel supported and equipped to thrive. Through culturally rooted programs and partnerships, we are breaking cycles, building confidence, and transforming lives.

Goals

1.Build a sustainable, culturally responsive workforce by implementing a master staffing plan with clear roles, staffing ratios, an intern pipeline, staff wellbeing and benefits, leadership development, and retention strategies that protect program quality as community demand grows.
2.Build a more resilient revenue base and stronger financial practices by expanding individual giving, corporate sponsorships, events, balanced institutional funding, and mission-aligned earned income; strengthen board fundraising, quarterly oversight, and progress toward a six-month operating reserve.
