Adaptability Statement
30 out of 30 points
The nonprofit has an opportunity to tell the story of how the organization adapted to tremendous external changes in the last year.
The Covid-19 pandemic exacerbated the mental health crisis in our country as so many children and families are struggling with significant and in some cases, debilitating anxiety and depression. Recent research shows 1 in 4 children have significant mental health issues requiring counseling. We needed to find ways to reach children in need where they are, and not necessarily in our offices. Hence we started our Schools Program when we partnered with the local school system to place therapists in two Title IX schools so we can treat children without needing them to travel.
