Vision

The vision of the Dave McGillivray Finish Strong Foundation is to create a world where all youth have the opportunity to discover their potential through physical activity, literacy, and acts of kindness. We believe that when young people build confidence in themselves—through movement, reading, and community engagement—they gain the tools to overcome challenges and pursue their dreams. Our vision is rooted in the belief that self-esteem, resilience, and compassion are cultivated early and carried for life. By fostering these values, we aim to inspire a generation of healthy, confident, and empowered young leaders who finish what they start—strong.

Goals

1. 1.Over the next three years, DMFSF will expand program access by deepening school partnerships, increasing community-based grants, enhancing digital resources, and scaling national initiatives like Dream Big Marathon and Running Is A Right to ensure more youth can benefit from our mission of movement, literacy, and kindness.
2. 2.Over the next three years, DMFSF will strengthen organizational infrastructure by investing in leadership, staff development, technology, and administrative systems to ensure sound fiscal management and sustain high-quality, scalable programs that serve more youth effectively and efficiently.
3. 3.DMFSF is committed to prioritizing investments in programs that deliver measurable, meaningful impact on youth and scaling back support for initiatives that do not directly benefit or advance our mission to inspire, empower, and uplift young people through movement, literacy, and kindness.
