The Toons of the World Foundation (TotWF) aims to restore and maintain the artwork, software, and community of the original massively multiplayer online role playing game (MMORPG) known as Toontown Online for the education and enjoyment of people of all ages and ethnicities. TotWF supports the development and operation of Toontown Rewritten, which replicates the experience of Toontown Online free of charge to the public. In addition to providing this free online world for people to connect with friends and family, TotWF provides educational opportunities for nearly a hundred volunteers to learn how to build, operate, and maintain an online MMORPG that is played by millions of registered users from all around the world. TotWF also hosts in-person events to allow Toontown Rewritten players to meet friends in a safe space, which often feature educational talks about how the game is developed.

Toons of the World Foundation cannot be rated because Charity Navigator does not evaluate private foundations.
To receive a star rating, a charity must be a U.S.-based 501(c)(3) public charity. Private foundations, consolidated subsidiaries, and organizations with revoked or inactive IRS status are not eligible for a rating.
Eligible charities must also meet the following criteria:
A nonprofit may be listed but not rated if it does not yet meet Form 990 filing requirements, is newly registered, files only Form 990-EZ or 990-N, or is otherwise ineligible for a star rating.
